Anne Frassetto Olsen was born into two immigrant Italian families who settled in the Salinas Valley prior to World War I.   She was raised on an artichoke farm outside of Castroville and attended local schools.  Those early years gave her a deep appreciation for the farming community and the natural environs in which we live.

In 1977, Anne graduated with highest honors with a BA in Economics from the University of California in Santa Barbara.  She received her jurisprudence degree from the University of California School of Law at Davis, California, in 1981 and moved to Salinas to begin her legal career.

In addition to her law practice, Anne serves on the Board of Directors of the Elkhorn Slough Foundation and is President of the Steinbeck Rotary Club.  She is a past board member of the SPCA for Monterey County, the Monterey County Legal Services Corporation and the Salinas Valley Literacy Foundation.  She was appointed to the City of Salinas Blue Ribbon Budget Committee in 2009.

Anne was a regular contributor to the Salinas Californian newspaper from 2003 to 2011 and has written articles for the Coastal Grower magazine.  She has presented a variety of seminars for local businesses.
